-
Scope of Terms
These terms apply to all agreements offered by George Walker Jewellery where an item is reserved in exchange for a deposit and subsequent payments. Such arrangements may be referred to as a Deposit and Balance Payment Plan, Reserve Now, Pay Later, Item Reservation Agreement, Payment Plan, or any similar description used by George Walker Jewellery. -
Methods of Sale
These terms apply to purchases made in-store, online, through social media, by telephone, or by any other method of sale. -
Deposit Requirement
A minimum deposit of 10% of the purchase price is required to reserve an item under this agreement unless otherwise agreed by George Walker Jewellery. -
Payment Period
The remaining balance must be paid in full within 3 months from the date the agreement commences unless otherwise agreed in writing. -
Reservation of Item
The item will be reserved exclusively for you and removed from sale whilst payments are being made under this agreement. -
Ownership of Goods
Ownership of the item remains with George Walker Jewellery until the purchase price has been paid in full and cleared funds have been received. -
Acceptance of Terms
For in-store sales, acceptance of these terms may be confirmed by signature. For online, telephone, social media, or remote sales, payment of a deposit or any payment towards the agreement constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. -
Cancellation by Customer
8.1 If cancelled within 7 days of the agreement start date: up to 50% of the deposit may be refundable, subject to deductions for any reasonable losses incurred.
8.2 If cancelled between 8 and 14 days: up to 25% of the deposit may be refundable, subject to deductions for any reasonable losses incurred.
8.3 After 14 days: the deposit will normally be non-refundable, unless George Walker Jewellery decides otherwise at its discretion.
8.4 In all cases, George Walker Jewellery may retain all or part of the deposit and any other payments only to the extent reasonably necessary to cover losses arising from the cancellation, including but not limited to costs associated with reserving, sourcing, ordering, storing, altering, preparing, or administering the item.
8.5 Any remaining balance paid above such costs will be refunded. -
Special Orders and Customised Items
Where an item has been specially ordered, customised, altered, engraved, resized, or otherwise made to your specification, or cannot reasonably be resold as standard stock, the customer acknowledges that cancellation may result in no resale value to George Walker Jewellery. In such cases, George Walker Jewellery reserves the right to retain all payments received to the extent necessary to cover losses incurred, and any refund (if any) shall be limited to any remaining value after losses have been assessed. -
Items Accepted as Deposit or Payment (Part Exchange)
George Walker Jewellery may, at its discretion, accept jewellery, precious metals, watches, or other items as part payment or as a deposit towards an agreement. Any such items will be assigned a fair monetary value at the time of acceptance and this value will be credited towards the purchase price. -
Refunds for Part Exchange Items
If the agreement is cancelled, any refund due will be calculated based upon the agreed monetary value credited to the customer and not by returning the original item(s). George Walker Jewellery shall not be obliged to return the original item(s) accepted as part payment or deposit. -
Failure to Complete Payments
If the balance is not paid within the agreed payment period and no alternative arrangement has been agreed, George Walker Jewellery reserves the right to cancel the agreement.
Before any cancellation is actioned, George Walker Jewellery will issue a written notice to the customer providing details of the outstanding balance and allowing a reasonable opportunity to settle the amount due.
If payment is not received following this notice, George Walker Jewellery may proceed with termination of the agreement. Any refund due will be calculated in accordance with Clause 8.
